Twin 100 mm/56 DP turret designed by TsKB-34 in 1951. Modeled according to historical photograph and design drawings.

This turret was intended for new post-war patrol ships, and used the same ammunition as other 100 mm/56 guns already in service. A prototype unit was completed in 1954, and test fires were conducted in December 1955.

I did not model the rear metal frames and the rubber cloth suspending from them because it was a pain trying to model those parts (and the only purpose for those parts were to collect ejected casings). The small ventilator on the turret roof is also omitted because I can't find any photo or plan showing its offset from center axis.

Historical values of range, elevation limits, horizontal traverse speed, muzzle velocity, shell weight and rate of fire are used in this mod. Damage values are assigned according to Admiral Bofors' damage spreadsheet form NavalArt mod community.
