Barotrauma's new update is making it so I cant edit the two sub files I have in the old workshop post so here's a new one.

The Europa Coalition have found blueprints of an old Gato-class submarine from WWII and built a special refit one from scratch. Trials are underway.

This is one of my favorite subs. I hope you don't mind but I've made variants based on it using the new tier system with hopefully repaired ai pathing.

i might shamefully reupload this sub with some of the problems outlined by these comments fixed up. the design is so tasteful but it's almost definitely not going to work well with 1.0

Ship is pretty nice overall but the ai has got a bad time trying to repair the tiniest amount of damage in the torp area in the area and ignores the rest of the damage done to the hull of the ship.

Please tell me you're going to make more of these. I love seeing subs made using real life submarine blueprints, but your is of a level of quality I haven't seen before. You even hid the wires, something I've never seen done before.

Most of the subs I've seen that are based on real subs don't have the same level of detail or quality in the interior as yours.

to be honest the ship design itself is great, but sadly there's a big minus that is the command location, it is isolated with a door that only the captain have access to i've been in multiple accident where the captain got stuck inside dying and medic can't access it, or there's a big leak killing the captain by pressure only for other crewman not being able to repair the leak or evacuate the body. The room itself is too small causing even a small leak to fill the room too quickly.
