No Useless Hearts

描述
This mod makes every base game character able to pick up and utilize any base game heart! Details below.

This mod is a mainly a compilation mod of my other smaller mods that are aimed at individual characters, except for Blue Baby who doesn't have his own separate mod by me, because such mod exists by another creator. If you plan on using this mod, turn off my other mods that have the same functionality.

Which character gets what:
Blue Babies get random dip familiars per half red heart picked up.

The Losts get wisps, type of wisp depending on the heart picked up. They even gain wisps from health ups.

Tainted Judas gets blood echoes per half red heart picked up. Blood eachoes turn into attacking ghosts when you strike somebody with Dark Arts.

Dark Judas gets my shadow chargers per full red heart picked up.

Tainted Forgotten gains bone orbitals per half red heart picked up.

And Tainted Bethany simply gets 1 blood charge and some flies per rotten heart picked up, because why the hell wouldn't she be able to pick up rotten hearts, Ed?

This all also applies to the sources of hearts such as active items, cards and pills.

Some modded hearts are also supported, like double soul hearts, half and double black hearts from my other mod, or hoarded, soiled and harlot hearts from Repentance Plus. More support for modded hearts will be added at a later date.

tested as the lost, most of the following hearts can get picked up but do nothing
1. immoral hearts from fiend folio
2. immortal hearts from restored collection
3. sun hearts from restored collection
4. rainbow hearts from deliverance (aside from a temporary shield upon pickup)
5. patched hearts from patched hearts (cant get picked up at all, only if you somehow picked up broken hearts from the epiphany mod since patched hearts remove broken hearts)
6. moon hearts from moon hearts mod
7. cold hearts from cold & ethereal hearts (cant get picked up at all)
8. ethereal hearts from cold & ethereal hearts (cant get picked up at all)

yeah thats a lot of hearts, if you were to make these compatible im curious as to what wisps you'd get upon picking these up...

It's not abandoned, it's finished. And the thing with trying to make it work with modded heart mods is that they are usually made by people much more skilled in coding than me to the point of their code looking almost like gibberish to me. I tried to work with a Fiend Folio dev at one point to make immoral hearts from that mod work with this, but FF had some in-built precaution that canceled any interaction I tried to implement externally.

the mod is missing compat with some modded hearts, should i tell you which or is this mod abandoned?

That sounds like entirely different mod at play.

picking up lots of red hearts as blue baby turns the poop active into a black poop active (the melania or whatever its called) which in turn can get charged with red hearts, is this intentional?

i should also mention that i have the pocket actives mod, if thats somehow important

Nvm I take back what I say. Turns out it was just a new feature from the Retribution mod where you get 20 red hearts at max health to get a new version of the poop item. Dips work as intended now.

I'm not sure if this is happening due to a mod compatibility issue or it can be fixed, but whenever Blue Baby picks up red hearts dips will not spawn.
