Northern Star Mining-Refining Station

Designed and built by the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, Northern Star Mining and Refining Station is a completely autonomous, high-capacity processing and production facility built to collect and process ores and ice into useful materials, and producing parts for additional colonization and planetary expansion. Mining is performed by its drone miner fleet comprised of AutoMole planetary miners that are controlled by the Path Auto Miner (PAM) script.

Significant amount of DLC is utilized. No mods are required, but the Nanobot Build and Repair System is very useful if building this blueprint in survival. The selected locations for the Nanobot Build and Repair units will not affect this station's construction if they are omitted.

This design is a planetary version of my Centerpoint Mining and Refining Complex.

Primary power is supplied by 48 wind turbines; excess power is stored in 28 batteries, and 12 small reactors (empty) are provided for future use when uranium is discovered and processed.

Station defenses are provided by 30 Gatling turrets and 4 missile turrets.

Ore, ice, and part processing and production are provided by 16 advanced refineries, all upgraded with yield modules, 8 advanced assemblers, all upgraded with speed modules, 24 O2/H2 generators, and 8 oxygen farms. Ore is stored in 7 large cargo containers and 5 small cargo containers, hydrogen gas is stored in 5 large hydrogen tanks, and oxygen gas is stored in 6 oxygen tanks.

Ships visiting Northern Star may land at either of 2 large landing pads, each with 8 docking connectors, at either of 2 small landing pads, each with 4 docking connectors, or in one of 3 hangar bays, each with 2 docking connectors. Three pads at the station's base allow rover access. A small ship printer bay may be used to produce more AutoMole planetary miners to increase ore production efficiency, and 12 drone miner docking connectors with conveyor sorters set to "drain all" are provided for docking the drone miner fleet. The drone miners are controlled at the Level 5 operations center via 8 dedicated control stations.

Crew services include full accomodations for 32 crew in 4 separate wings. Medical services includes a medical room with 4 hospital beds and a complete diagnostic suite. Northern Star also includes a fully appointed briefing room, a crew lounge, and a swimming pool. Cryogenic services are provided on Sublevel 3 via 36 cryo chambers.

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
1. Find a reasonably large, flat area.
2. Build a battery two blocks, minimum, below ground level.
3. Build a projector on top of the battery.
4. Load the blueprint into the projector; set the projector to "Keep Projection".
5. Build the blueprint.
