I swear to you this map is Vanilla


Tens of millions of people live in Yangtze Valley. The river is the third largest in the word, and the largest river in the world that flows only in one country. The Yangtze River has caused great distress through history due to flooding. Through modern engineering, the river has been held in check and has brought great prosperity to the region.

In real life the Yangtze River is much larger downstream of the Three Gorges Dam. Obviously, for game play purposes I cannot recreate this. I went with the theme that the river was once larger, but since the creation of the dam, the river is now at a more manageable level, but fluctuates to a larger size if more water is needed to be released.


I have named it 'Triclops'

With TM:PE and proper lane mathematics, this interchange HANDLES. My interchange takes advantage of both sides of the highway for oncoming traffic to keep things flowing.

The interchange was created and destroyed over and over until the appearance was favorable.

And I thought, why build an intersection like everyone else?




Please, I beg of you, let's not make this map about a dam. The dam took a couple weeks to build,, the rest of the map took 50 weeks.

The Three Gorges Dam is the largest concrete structure on Earth, you will find my version at scale of 180 meters tall by two kilometers long.

It is not a perfect match, but due to having one hand tied behind my back to keep the map Vanilla.. I think I did OK.

The dam will provide you with 1000 MW of electricity to start your game. It does nothing for water and sewage, please do not hook up to it.

There is a pedestrian path going along the dorsal, pedestrians won't walk it, its too far! I didn't know this when I was creating... Please convert the pedestrian path to a bike path if you have it and it will get used.

Completely Hand Drawn

This map was worked on from April 2021 to April 2022.. You could build a city on here for a year and not spent more time in Yangtze than I have.

This map was finished in late fall of 2021 and it was tragically, tragically, deleted by accident. It could not be restored, It was rebuilt all over again from one surviving screenshot, and rebuilt for the better
