VIARAIL Charger with Venture Coach and Cab

The Siemens Charger is a family of diesel-electric passenger locomotives designed and manufactured by Siemens Mobility for the North American market. There are four models of Chargers: the SC-44 for state-supported inter-city services, the SCB-40 for Brightline inter-city service, the SC-42 for VIA corridor service, and the ALC-42 for Amtrak long distance service.

The first production SC-44 was unveiled on March 26, 2016, and entered revenue service on August 24, 2017, followed by the SCB-40, which inaugurated Brightline service on January 13, 2018. The first ALC-42 was delivered to Amtrak on June 17, 2021 and entered revenue service on February 8, 2022 on the Empire Builder.


Features

- SC42 Charger with VIARail livery.
- Modeled interior compartment, that is quite noticeable
- Interior lightning with Additive Shader (works between 18h00 to 07h00)
- Venture Coaches: Contains Regular, Business classes and Cab Car


Roadmap

- As seen in screenshot, entire Charger is made as a part of this 2 months project. They will released continiously.
- Next update will focus on vehicle effect and sounds with the release of Brightline set.

I know it might be to much to ask but is there anyway you could do a version of the VIA Canadian. it is such a classic Canadian VIA train

Thanks for the page, my 7 car variant was purely fictional but it seems VIA is having that as well, which is nice. Only version missing is 3+1 variant i suppose. I also got a request for shorter Amtrak versions, guess I'll add VIA version to the list as well

Thanks for this train. It looks amazing. I found a page from someone [www.railfans.ca] whom went to the launch of the train by Via Rail and they have all of the configurations that Via Rail will be using. For example, the 5 car train is called the Long Trainset and, starting from the front, contains the locomotive, two business cars, two economy cars, and the cab car, which is alway economy. There are lots of photos of the trains, a video, and plenty of information on the economy, business, and cab cars and the engines. There is an embedded PDF from Via Rail which contains some dimensions and other information about the train. Thanks again.

I like the detail of the engine number... Although I think it was SIIX 2200 upon delivery. The initial train is still beiing tested and Via has since removed the SIIX letters (Siemens identifier) and it's now refered as Via 2200.
