The selected language is supposed to be saved. If for you it's not - check your privileges (launch as admin, don't use Program Files folder, etc).

I don't know where you can get the "true" original. Some CDs on ebay, maybe. The original scripts were used for this mod - not NotR ones botched and cut to be "like" the original.

And you totally don't need Ninja subscribed if you don't use any Ninja plugins.

So do you have to change it to English every time or is there a way to make it stick?

MY BAD!!! When posting my last post I realized maybe the load order was the problem, and that was the case. I moved it from second (where it was originally) to after Union and Ninja and before the D3D11 renderer, and now the option to change languages shows up in the launcher.

Totally my bad.

Since I see you're a developer, do you know if there is any way to play the actual original and not NoTR modded to be like the original? I played the original when it first came out over 20 years ago and all the times I've played since I played NoTR. I really wanted to experience the true original once again.

And by the way this and Gothic 1 are two of my all time favorite games. I purchased each three times lol. Once in disc form in the box at a brick and mortar store when they came out, then once at Gog, and once here. I'm a Gothic lover. Well, 1 and 2 anyway.

I just played with it some more, and the only launcher that comes up is the workshop one where you can change the loading order. I am not seeing any other launcher so is that what you mean? I can't find a way to make any changes there other than the load order. After that the main game screen loads.

Yeah, I'm only getting a non-English version too. I guess it's Czech since the poster below said it but I have no clue. Sorry, I know no other language but english. You folks who can speak in multiple languages impress me, wish I could. And I just installed the game and the workshop items and I assure you I don't have anything else running that overrides the mod's content unless it's one of these workshop items I subscribed too:

Union
Ninja
Gothic 2 classic (this one)
D3D11 renderer

I can't find any launcher with any options to change languages.

You can change the language in the launcher.
If not - you have something else that overrides this mod's content.

Only the Czech language works

Super, w końcu mogę pograć bez tego dodatku na steam. Pora przejść ponownie ten piękny tytuł.

Try to disable Atariar mod and/or move it lower than Classic mod in the launcher list.
And you don't need Ninja for anything (Quickloot is Union plugin). You can unsubscribe from it.
