Description:
The dim light of blind lamps, the skeletons of factory chimneys choking in their own smoke. Babylonian towers of skyscrapers, all this is the hell of the New Age, New York.
Vietnam War veteran Travis Bickle drives his lone taxi through the nighttime streets of an endless city as a grim panorama of human sins unfolds before him. Like an Old Testament prophet, he hopes that one day the heavens will send saving rain to the earth, which will cleanse New York of centuries of dirt.
And when hope dies, only hate remains. A fiery shower will fall on the heads of sinners. Taxi driver will take care of it.
