Introducing the Astra Autominer Module, the latest build from Filbert Shipyards!

The Autominer Module is designed to work with the Astra Module System and Astra Module Carriers.

Designed to land on top of an Autominer, the Autominer Module allows for the safe tending of autominers from the safety of an oxygenated enclosure to protect from temperature and radiation.

The Autominer tender also has a 'plus' sign docking marker on the back. If desired this plus sign can be used to dock other modules to the back of the Autominer tender to create a 'Module train' allowing you to bring extra cargo or other functional modules to extend your missions or increase cargo. If you bring an Athion Starter Module with you, for example, you can use that as a drop base (with two cargo systems) to double your available ore storage allowing for double to autominers to be tended.

Ship is designed with bi-directional piloting to facilitate easier Autominer docking

There are two cockpits on the Autominer module. One is for docking it to autominers and the other is for docking it to the carrier. Try using the cockpit that has a window in front of it ;)

I am enjoying your design very much. I have Astra Mk II and 6 different module ships. I do have a problem with this one though. You have to back it in to dock with the Astra Mk II with no window to look out of to line up the ship. Am I missing something, of is there a trick to it. Thanks

Should that not depend on what the cargo actually is? I can't remember which is the heaviest rock. Also, we have have to assume that at least some of the constructors will be used in pre-processing the ore before heading to base. By the way, if a Furnace were here, that would be very interesting.

This one is a little lighter on thrust than the Base Camp. I haven't tested this on 5G planet while under load, i know it will run empty in high G, just can't remember off hand what the cargo payload is at, for example, 4.5G.

What Gs was this rated for? I'm assuming same or similar to the base camp module since the two can work in conjunction?

You CANNOT put anything on top or in front of ANY module or it will no longer dock..

Also you should be able to slap turrets on the belly or rear of any of the modules and they will still dock. You CANNOT put anything on top or in front of ANY module or it will no longer dock..
