After that, type "snd_rebuildaudiocache", wait for the Console to open, and write "_restart". If the game doesn't properly restart, simply open up the game, and launch a Versus match. If all is perfect, the "Charging" sound should play only once, get properly cut off at the end, and then "mortification.wav" should play its full 25-ish second duration with zero crackling / static and with seamless loops.
Hope this helps!
NO MORE, I SAY, for I have found the solution after 7 hours of being a modding newbie.
Programs REQUIRED to fix the solution:
1. Wavosaur
that's it.
Once you've downloaded and extracted the program, use it to open the sound "contusion.wav". Then, in the timeline you should see that, at the beginning, there is a Marker with the label "M0". That is the marker that is telling the Source Engine to loop this audio file from beginning to end.
Hello again. and thanks love your mod btw keep cooking
Hmmmmm.....I don't know coding properly at all...all I learned was through YouTube videos and there were almost none teaching how about those stuff works, I've even read Valve's tutorial while making this...
I don't know exactly how to fix, but I think this happened to me once as well, it's something that doesn't happen a lot.
Usually it's conflicts with other mods that also changes sounds, because this one requires "vanilla installing method" which literally replaces files with the same names in the game's folder instead of directing the game to a new folder with new files while keeping the original files intact.
I'm terrible to describe stuff but I hope I managed to explain stuff xD
If I find solutions for this bug in the future, I'll try to fix that!
Nice! Glad to know it's working wel ^^ I hope you have a lot of fun there while headbanging (careful with your keyboard tho)

Thanks for the compliment! This game really does deserve heavy metal soundtracks so I decided to do it my own for the community :D
