The Workshop Collector [DEPRECATED]

As of the March 2024 update, importing collections and turning them into presets is now a baked-in feature of Garry's Mod. Thank God! See the "import preset" button right below the "load preset" button and rejoice.

The Workshop Collector is a tool used to generate addon presets from workshop collections. By simply providing a workshop collection URL or ID, The Workshop Collector will generate an addonpresets.txt file containing a new preset with only the workshop items in the provided collection. Your other presets will remain unaffected, allowing you to mix-and-match presets of collections.

With this, you can easily toggle different collections' content without having to manually add them to an addon preset.


There are two "versions" of the addon. The "old" version is what you get from subscribing to this addon. The "new" version requires just two files to be installed manually-- it only takes five minutes, but it will save you heaps of time in the long run! See the guide below, specifically, "New Version How-to".

Note: If the "new" version updates, you need to install its lua\menu\workshop_collector_menu.lua from the latest GitHub release[github.com] again.
