Following the successful but flawed Thunderstreak and Fenris starfighters, M.C.I began development of a new generation of space superiority fighters to combat the growing threat of piracy and rival corporations. Learning from the successes and failures of previous fighters, the program eventually produced the F-4 Ascender, a potent starfighter capable of operation in all environments.
