After accomplishing all he could in the sport, he had the opportunity to fight in the cage in Mixed Martial Arts or become a professional wrestler. He picked the latter option and made the surprising choice to start out in Europe to make a name for himself. His amateur credentials provided a good base and he quickly developed into an excellent technical wrestler and a master of throwing suplexes. This, alongside his menacing look, helped make up for his lack of charisma and helped make him into a major foreign heel in the independent circuit.

After his European tour, Brad returned to the USA, bringing what he learned back to his home country, aiming to become a menace on two continents.
