Game Version 1.18.*

Description

This mod adds a new decision to browse the local bookstore which has a cooldown of 5 years. Upon doing so you'll be able to browse the bookstore looking through various sections to find a book of your choice. Each book will give you some flavour text and permanently add a lifestyle, skill or trait to your character. Certain books allow you to get a new trait or change one trait into another going from Chaste to Lustful or vice versa. The books are priced in a way that hopefully feels relatively balanced at a price that makes them expensive yet accessible even in the early game.

The AI is not allowed to do this decision.

- Cannibal
- Deviant
- Lazy

This mod should be compatible with future game versions however if its out of date let me know in the comments.

Compatibility / Load Order

This mod makes no changes to vanilla game files and has no incompatibilities with other mods. As such it can be loaded anywhere in your load order. It should be compatible with all future game versions except in the case that some core code changes are made.

Thanks for letting me know. It should be fixed now. The cooldown was set to 0 days, I must have forgotten to change it back when I was testing something.

Paradox changed a few things with how events are written so it took me a while to look up and figure out how things have changed. As far as I can tell everything is working fine but if you encounter any issues leave a comment to let me know.

it's testament to this mod that you havent had a comment here since last MAY, but every time I have looked at the most popular mods during that period, you have been on the first few pages. Elegant. Useful. Bug-free.

If you have the trait it converts it since they are direct opposites. If you don't have the trait though it simply adds it as a new trait.
