Artistic interpretation of the Netherlands based on a heightmap.

scale: Very Large 1:1, Temperate, European vehicles.

+60 cities, +industries, +highways, +rivers.

5 may 1945, Liberation!, now our country needs rebuilding, people need food and construction materials, the capital cities need goods and machines, factories need tools and fuel.
Most railways have been destroyed due to the war, but the former occupiër has left a great highway network, time to rebuild basic infrastructures and restart the economy!

Even if you never heard or have been to our beautiful mostly flat country, this map wil be challenging but never frustrating, although alot of time was spend on the looks and details, function was prio'd over form and with realistic highways ( and traffic jams), cities and waterways, strategic placed factories and resources, with plenty of space for railroads all on a scale that is balanced and works out nice!
Logisticly aproaching reality, with passenger ferry's to Hull UK, Airways to Köln Germany and the harbour of Antwerp Belgium.
