Also, to keep the SFM survival horror oriented I'm thinking of turning some of the areas with soldiers into stealth/puzzle oriented sections, the rest I'll replace the soldiers with monsters. For On A Rail I can probably edit my way around it, I'm thinking I might "replace" the rail cart mechanics with a UI. I might actually have to make a replacement map or two for Residue Processing. Probably will have to make a new map for Nihilanth too.
The fact that Half-Life was intended to have some horror elements in it as well, same goes with HL2 during development.
But ultimately it was more about the action rather than horror IMO.
That and maybe find a voice actor who can get just the right amount of shitty. For the AUTHENTIC survival horror experience.
Well, Gmod and SFM is open for any kind of models from anywhere else, a place that you can mash them up, and I think that's the beauty of them.
