Qube design come to my mind as a support for some cave missions away from main sub.
Now upgraded it.. to self sufficent single crew submarine.

Glass Cannon it's good description how it works and it's made with glass... so.
Without player with wielder it will sunk faster than you think. But used properly it's awesome.
Trust me! No handshakes needed...

Player_2 Pros:

• Almost 300 degree fire angles
  
• Nuclear Reactor
  
• Some storage capacity
  
• Mining Scanner
  
• Constructor/Deconstructor/Medical
  
• Oxygen Generator
  
• Good vision

Player_2 Cons:

• You can shot only one cannon at the time. Switch is below preiscope.
  
  
• Bottom hatch works as airlock, but still it goes down a few meters when you bail out.
  So before leave set autopilot to "ON".
  
• It's fragile, but it's nice to have 100mm glass separating you from the mudoraptor. Bring wielder with you!
  
• Hammerhead will show you hammering
