The Big K-2S0 Overhaul

Beskrivning
Step right up! We've got major bug fixes and additions to Teirdalin's Imperial Security Droid mod from Star Wars!

See Required mod: - - --->

What does this mod do? It would be easier to list the things that weren't adjusted, so let's just touch on the important stuff.
- Hire your own droid.
- See them for the first time in the wild. Both friendlies and hostiles exist.
- Revamped the starting scenarios with quality-tested Droids.
- Renamed things to show they were mass-produced.

I find that answer vague and unconvincing.
Alright... *cough*

You can find a KS-series Security Droid for hire in Black Desert City. If you so desire, you can import for more copies. This character, as well as others of his kind, now come loaded with dialogue packs filled with quotes from Rogue One and Jedi: Fallen Order. Some of the racial modifiers have been adjusted to closer reflect gameplay from the video game title. Each and every one of them is now a tall boi - see a plastic surgeon for further adjustments.

Hostile Security Droids can be encountered most anywhere Broken skeletons are found. They will also guard some ruins, and can even be seen holding down the forts of their Second Empire overlords.

Wandering KS units can now be seen drifting between towns, beating down enemies of the Thieves Guild.

Starting scenarios were remade to address cross-mod conflicts with IG-88. In addition, the Wanderer character template is no longer locked to the vanilla races. Just be aware, attempting to make a new character under these Droid races will result in an invisible character without its dedicated armor.

For higher quality armor, hunt down the hostile units (25% chance of upgrades), Wandering units allied to the Thieves Guild, or the Imperial series in the Ashlands. These are boss(es) in the Ashlands, with the possibility of Masterwork-grade armor. Hostile KS units carry CPU boxes that result in permanent deactivation when removed. This will prevent invisible enemies if you remove their armor.

As for bugfixes, there were a number of them to address between this K-2S0 fellow and the IG-88 Assassin Droid mod. I believe the primary issue was that assets were copied directly from the IG-88 mod into this, and naming conflicts (particularly surrounding the words, "Assassin Droid") have been FIXED. If Stobe is merciful, all of the assets recreated in this overhaul should address invisible and missing Security Droids.

If you are subscribed to this and the IG-88 mod, I strongly advise you also subscribe to the Assassin Droid For Hire mod I made, as it involves additional bug fixes such as the ones above. The two Droid mods do not get along well without these patches. With all due respect and appreciation to Tierdan for the hard work he did, making this mod was a surprising nightmare, filled with twists and turns. But I hope it all turned out well.

Please comment with any bugs you encounter.

IMPORT RECOMMENDED.

That's just how this mod goes. There is no crafting something so advanced as this ancient technology so you must salvage the Old Machines for parts. It's is the challenge as intended by this mod.

@Gevuarh

How does one make their armor? If i start with the squadron eventually I want all specialist armored droids. (I dont want to steal it and have a bunch of invisible people lying out in the world)

Damn, man. No one wants a spinal injury, that's for sure. I hope that goes well for you, but it sounds like t\you're keeping busy anyway.

I'm able to upload again it seems, so I'm getting back into working on things again here, probably going to get back into Kenshi. Recovering from a spinal injury and also developing my own kickstarted game, so kinda busy.
