(F) S.S.H Super-Hornet Interceptor

The Safe Solar Holdings Super-Hornet Interceptor is one of the most feared Star-fighters in the Galaxy. This starship has a massive amount of thrust and weapons to match. Only piloted by the most fearsome aces, the Interceptor is a formidable foe, easily ripping lesser craft to shreds with its missiles and auto-cannons.

Like its cousin the Yellowjacket, the Super-Hornet makes use of ion and Hydrogen thrusters. This allows for ease of maneuvering around stations and hangars without sacrificing any combat readiness due to low fuel. Despite its hybrid capabilities, the super-hornet has relatively low hydrogen reserves, and actively toggling the thrusters on and off as needed is recommended. Inertia dampeners not recommended.

Armaments:
10 Fixed auto-cannons, for Head on assault and dog fighting.
4 re-loadable rocket launchers, unleashing a suffocating amount of rockets at capital ships and fighters alike.
8 Auto-cannon turrets, for extra support and multi target engagement.

Despite being a relatively new addition to the S.S.H fleet, the Super-Hornet has already garnered a fearsome reputation as a capital ship killer. One particular squadron fielded at the battle of Thames Hyper-port managed to single-handedly turn the tide of battle in favor of S.S.H after a disastrous ambush. By selflessly penetrating the enemy lines at extreme speed, the squadron laid waste to the rebel refugee and resupply ships, forcing a retreat and allowing for S.S.H reinforcements to arrive. All 5 pilots where posthumously awarded the Platinum cross for their selflessness.
