This weapon is finished in charred walnut that has been cast in a vibrant color-shifting resin.

For this weapon finish, I wanted to make a mil-spec Nova that is still interesting to look at and for it to be made from real materials. I was inspired by the P90 Shapewood and a few videos of people building 'live edge' epoxy resin tables. I had to make a pearlescent variant to see how it looks and I liked it. The veins of epoxy resin are subtly normal mapped in a way that makes them reflect light slightly differently than the wood.
