Updated Oct. 2025.

Description:

An upgraded version of the Callipso Mk.II, the Mk.III has a stronger (75k hp) shield and Xanion internal components for improved power generation and battery capacity. If you can build this, there's little reason to use previous variants.

The design has red internal Framework blocks that can be upgraded to other block types for additional stats, increasing the number of Sub-System Sockets from 6 to 7.

Turret Placement (September, 2025)

Due to a bug with Middle Block Snapping on sloped surfaces like Edge and Turret Edge Base blocks, specific Grid Spacing values are required on Local Snapping depending on the size of the hardpoint you are trying to mount certain size turrets to. Here is a table with the values I have used:

Turret Size
Local Grid Snapping
Size 0.5
0.1
Size 1
0.2

Updated October 17th, 2025. For full list of changes, additions and fixes, see change notes. Turret placement should be easier now with uniform turret base sizes on all the new updated ships, and 'cleaner' numbers for local grid snapping.

Hi b_man_5787, thanks for your comment about the turret placement problem.

There's been a problem since time immemorial where Middle Block Snapping and some units of Grid Spacing on Local Snapping will not allow a turret to snap to the mid point of a sloped surface, even though it looks visually like the turret should fit. I think this is a long time bug that Boxelware did not fix yet.

Meanwhile, I have been updating all of my publications with a table of info showing what Grid Spacing I have used for each size turret or hardpoint. Since 2020, all of my designs should share the same dimensions for turret edge base blocks for each size hardpoint, so the settings I have posted on this page should work for all of my other designs as well.

Hope this is helpful.

I'm having issues placing turrets on the turret blocks on these ship designs of yours . It tells me the turrets do not fit . But only on the turret blocks that are angled do I have this problem
