Keep in mind that torpedo refuel system is a bit tricky, and requires you to wait 10-15 sec after torps are welded for torpedo thruster to "cut" conveyor that was used for filling it's tank with hydrogen. That's by design, and you shouldn't worry about destroyed block sounds. Make sure to be completely stationary when firing torpedoes.

***LORE***:
Martian Congressional Republic Navy is famous for it's advanced, combat ships. They are always ready to face an enemy, be it a lightweight strikecraft or heavy battleships. This ship represents this phylosophy - it's relatively small, yet agile and powerful ship, equipped with turreted (vanilla and custom Gattling turrets), fixed (Gattling "meatgrinder" and rocket launcher) and guided weaponry (4 x Torpedoes, reloadable).

This is an improved version of my MCRN "Broadsword" combat frigate.

It's purpose is to be moderately priced (in terms of resources) while packing powerful weaponry and good survivability in form of good armor coverage and agility, provided by hydrogen thrusters and gravity drive. It's 100% combat-oriented ship, don't expect anything else out of it.

***CORE SYSTEMS***:
- 4 small Reactors. More isn't needed as ship is propelled by hydrogen.
- 4 Gyroscopes.
- 18 Small Cargo Containers. For all these Gattling Guns ammunition, ice and torpedo components.
- 2 o2/h2 Generators. Takes them 8 hours to fill up hydrogen tanks.
- 2 Large Hydrogen Tanks for a total of 30,000,000 L of hydrogen. That's over 20+ min of active maneuvering.

***UTILITY***:
- Medbay.
- Crew gravity generator.
- Ship Repair projector for fixing damage.
- 1 Jump Drive capable of 2000km jump.
- 2 Connectors for resupply capabilities.
- Double-braced conveyor system. If one broadside is heavily damaged, conveyor net will keep working.
- Custom turrets/hardpoints repair systems with projectors.
- 5 Scripts - 2 for torpedo launch and navigation, 1 for custom turret AI, 1 for ship diagnostic LCD and 1 more for Automatic LCDs for info about fuel, ammo, etc.
- Gravity Drive. Basically a bunch of gravity generators pushing artificial mass on your ship to achieve thrust. Controlled by script, making it as easy as it gets to fly. This + hydrogen thrusters give this ship great agility:

{Acceleration stats} :
0 -> 100 m/s
Forward - 3s
Backwards - 10 seconds
Sideways - 5-6 seconds
Up/Down - 5-6 seconds.

***WEAPONRY***:
- 8 Gattling Turrets with excellent coverage.
- 2 Custom-made turrets, each filled to brim with 6 gattling guns.
- Fixed mounted Gattling hardpoint, featuring 10 forward-mounted gattling guns, tearing anything you point it at.
- 1 Rocket Launcher in the nose of the ship.
- 4 hydrogen-propelled, high-power interceptor torpedoes. Automated reload. Reliable mechanism. Very fast, very maneuverable, very deadly to anything less than a battleship, and even battleship will get quite a dent from these. Compact design. Due to speed and excellent homing capability, it's hard to shoot it down completely before it hits target. And if you enable "Evasion", aka "drunken torp" mode... Good luck to enemy AA guns shooting this down, unless you are facing over 10 turrets at once.

I definitely liked your solution. Although it includes many subgrids, they are all well thought out and protected. Subscribed to your workshop and will be waiting for MK.III :)

Hope you enjoy it! Yep, some more gyros could definitely be useful.
Psst, I am working in Mk III version, which mainly improves on previous design, with following changes:
- torpedo bay is now in rear part of ship.
- Gravity Drive is better centered and more powerful.
- 6 torpedoes per salvo instead of 4 now.
- Top and bottom mounted custom turrets are made possible to shoot forward, adding to your forward firepower.

Should be ready in few days.

An excellent and functional solution for PvE. I would add 8 more gyros around the back of the big hydrogen tank and some heavy armor to protect the bridge deck from the sides. This will increase the mass by 110 tons, but will significantly increase the controllability in close combat.
