This mod is a rework of Munghard's Virus mod.

This mod is compatible with DayZ v1.15.
You are free to modify and repack it in your own server mod.

I fixed some important issues, and I made the virus effects much slower than in the original mod. You have 10% of chance to get rage virus after being hit by infecteds. The virus consumes slowly your blood, so you have about 2 hours of game time before being out of blood (if your blood stat is full), therefore you can delay this fatal issue using saline bags. A virus cure is required to stop the disease. Unlike the original mod, you don't loose 20xp of health, and you don't get unconscious either while using the virus cure.

mod dont work i cant even fill bag with blood anymore with this mod on

can you make virus somehow not that critical? i mean virus eventually kills you by lowering blood down to 2500, i don't want virus just kills survivor but make survivor weak. for example virus lowers the blood only to 3000 and limits the blood regeneration.

This mod adds a rage virus to Dayz. Zombies will vommit blood & scratch. You will have a chance to get infected by the Rage virus. Not treated, you'll eventualy die.

SYMPTOMS:
Psychotic laughter, taunts and bloodloss > Virus indicator object visible.

THE CURE:
To get a cure follow this guide:

FIRST:
1. Kill a zombie, gut it, get it's brain.
2. Find a bloodbag and fill it with blood.
3. Find a Petridish.
4. Find a Microscope
5. Find a empty Syringe.

THEN: Grab microscope in hand, add the brain, full bloodbag and petridish to it.
THEN: Put microscope on ground, look at it (and maybe scroll with scroll mouse) to find the action to create the antibodies vial AND RagepathoVial. (Then press F).
THEN: On floor 2 vials become visible. Leave vials on the ground. Use a empty syringe on either of the vials. One will create a antivirus and the other one will create a syringe filled with Rage virus. (to create Press F). Use the cure on yourself or on the one that needs it.

Finally an improvement of the mod, if you feel like it, you can implement that the virus is only transmitted by a certain kind of zombie and configurable by JSON file.

Hey Florian cheers for adjusting this makes for a better more balanced experiance, i was just wondering if you know how to make the microscope static? tried editor and through the init.c method and neither work. cheers
