Description/lore

The Ilex class scout is a small snub craft designed for, well, scouting. It's incredibly small size makes it very easy to weasel in areas most other ships can't fit through, such as wreckage or tight asteroid clusters. Just be warned, it's propelled only by ion thrusters and powered only with batteries, so watch your energy consumption closely.

you can find a mod called wireless induction that charges batteries wirelessly. it has saved me countless docking manoeuvres just for charging. after a while and many individual parking/charging bays, you go for the simplest things for mundane tasks like this

so basically land/drive close to the induction block and let it charge, that's all. It can charge really small drones without any connection blocks. (I was charging a tiny mods-only small-block flying bike 6 long x 3 wide x 2 tall with this mod.)

Might I suggest swapping the block out that the landing gear is attached to with a small reactor you can kind of squat and see in there to access it to put some uranium in.

Still the starting power on it would probably give it about 20 to 30 minutes of flight time that's enough to get where you need to go I guess.
