Pokemon TCG with Real Boosters V2 (up to Mega Evolution)

描述
APILESS PACKS BETA HAS STARTED please report any issues you find.

Built upon Lotus Assassin's mod, V2 contains every English Set from Base Set to Mega Evolution, as well as Promos from all eras, all in one scripted package. Featuring heavily rewritten and highly optimised packs using cards made with the help of the Pokemon TCG API, your draft experience will be smoother than ever!

  • Every English main set, and many supplemental ones, up to and including Mega Evolution have fully implemented and accurate* packs. With newly reviewed and researched Pull Rates you can crack packs to your heart's content.
  • Enjoy new draft options like automatically spreading the cards you pull and filtering out most basic energy, easily configurable in the box's right-click menu
  • Or just click the "Get Whole Set" button, and get the entire set at once. You can also fetch promos this way.
  • All within a single, quick to load scripted box. Choose the set using the "<" and ">" buttons (right click jumps a generation).
  • A Card Search tile you can use to find card specific cards by name and format.
  • An Energy Generator to allow easy loading of any type of Basic Energy of any artwork, including JP exclusive ones.
  • Includes scripted boards (with updated Attachment Wells) for 6 Players. Games are further supported by 10-400 Damage counters, 1-click Coin Flippers with 286 different coin arts and sorters that when used with API cards allow for PTCGO style deck sorting and much more. This mod isn't just packs, but a fully featured play area. All counters allow cards to fall through them if full physics is enabled.
  • Draft in peace with Togglable Hidden Zones, which can be switched off to make full use of the large tables.
  • A bag that easily spreads packs for recording drafts, or just making them neat.
  • Every element of the mod has been heavily optimised, exempting a small wait time when first loading each new pack to load data from the API, everything from the initial load to pack opening is lightning fast.
  • Everything is fully portable. Copy it into another room or move it somewhere else and it'll work fine (packs may revert to default settings).

*As Accurate as I can find, with what data I collect as fully sourced as possible.

As the packs get card data from an API, there's a small loading time when fetching data from a new set and a risk of rate limiting if too many sets are loaded too quickly. Once a set is loaded, any number of copies of it can be spawned and packs from it opened without calling the API for the length of the session. Right clicking on the box lets you adjust the number of API calls used per set.

FAQ

How do I get packs?

Just pull them out of the box, as it is a bag.

How do I open packs?

Simply pull the wrapper off! The packs are bags too, and attempting to pull an item out of them will open the pack.

How do I change set?

Choose the set by changing it on the box with the "<" and ">" buttons.

How do I use the Attachment Wells?

Drop an energy or other attaching card into the Well and it will enter it (they are bags) and an icon representing the card will appear. Click or drag the icon to pull it out, or the all icon to empty it completely. Full details on the separate mod page.

Will you be updating this mod for new packs?

For the foreseeable future. I will be looking to hand off making new packs at some point but even then I will update the mod and manage the githubs.

What about making this for other TCGs?

No, but I have open-sourced all my code and am willing to explain it.

How do I use Pokemon LEGEND and V-Unions on the board?

Multi-Card Braces are provided for fitting these cards onto the boards. These are bags which take multiple cards and represent them as a single card-sized object.

How to help
If you want to help increase the accuracy of my data, follow the instructions
here[github.com]. This is a good way to help if you happen to be addicted to watching pack openings on youtube.

If you want to submit a new pack to the box because I'm being slow for whatever reason, fork the repo, use the instructions here[github.com] to add the pack and submit a pull request.

I have loaded all of the APILess boxes into the mod for the time being so the mod is functional. it will be made a separate listing once all tools are replicated somehow using a new API.

WIP no-api boxes and packs are now far enough along that small numbers of sets can be tested. I currently have MEG and base set, but can make others on request. FR/DM me if you are interested in helping test.

OK, now that I have some time for this project, I'll explain what my plan is going forward, to hopefully calm some nerves.
Pepper0ni  [作者] 9 月 25 日 上午 7:58
- I will update the current mod for MEG as I normally do, mostly because of the timing I am avaliable lining up with the pack release and because I'll likely be using the current code as a base for the next steps anyway.
- I will make a separate mod that does not rely on any external data source as best I can. this will have separate boxes like the old lotus assassin mod, and will be listed and updated separately on the workshop. All current tools except the deck builder and card searcher will be in this iteration and it will act as a fall back for any future issues that may arise.
- I will investigate alternative methods to maintain the current, API supported, mod with a new API. I have been made aware of the existence of the TCGDex API which seems to be a good candidate but may not (yet) have all the features I need. If i am able to identify a good candidate I will update this mod to use the other API and (hopefully) no features will need to be lost.

For helping me achieve this, the main speed ups would be either assisting in finding a new API with everything I need, adding features i need to TCGDex if needed (the devs there seem more attentive than the old API, though I have not had time to confirm this), or if you are able to quickly jump into a new project, writing helper scripts to split the current large script into several boxes or convert the old API data JSON into a more compact form for storing inside the mod.

For longer term maintenance anyone interested in learning the procedures should friend request or DM me, the process involves light scripting (mostly extending existing tables), some image editing for tool/energy icons and a varying amount of searching/investigative and spreadsheet work for gathering data, with the worst case sets requiring a certain amount of patience for poketuber pack openings.

I concur with Lena. I'm very late to this convo but I really enjoyed this mod. If it doesn't get working again--well, I enjoyed it while it lasted, and am very grateful for the time I got to spend using it. If there's anything we can do to help, I certainly would be willing to pitch in. I'll be checking out the github soon

No need to apologize; you've done a great job and have provided us with a great mod. These issues are outside of your control anyway.
Pepper0ni  [作者] 8 月 30 日 下午 3:12
Update on API issues: a major update and re-branding for the API has been announced, and to be blunt, it is a disaster for this mod, and in the coming months I will have to transition the mod away from relying on the API with the resulting loss in features as it is simply no longer going to be possible to call the API in real time.

This is because the new version of the API will not have any free access whatsoever, in part due to massive influx of bots and poorly made collector focused apps that have effectively DDoS'd the service (this is why the API is struggling ATM), however it is functionally impossible for a tabletop simulator mod to even log in to the service, as the password cannot be hidden from the user. Even attempting to use a proxy to handle requests just changes the problem to how you approve the mod for the proxy.
Pepper0ni  [作者] 8 月 30 日 下午 3:12
I want to be clear that despite the issue being caused by a lack of free tier, money cannot solve the problem, as I would still be unable to safely authenticate.

Because of this, starting after Mega Evolution's release, I will be looking to make the mod self-reliant. This will result in slower room loading (Worst Case Scenario: similar to other Pokemon TCG mods), larger file sizes, the removal of the search tile and likely slower updates due to more work needing to be done manually.

There are some upsides however, as there will no longer be set loading times if all data is in the mod.

I apologise for the issues we've had in this past month and my inability to more rapidly address the problems due to IRL commitments
