D's Combine Shield Generator

The Combine Shield Generator, although seems like a classy tool for the beta unit, is actually more crude than previously anticipated: The weapon blasts focused energy into the sky and creating an unstable energy field around it. Anything that comes into contact with it on ground level, would simply get repelled back as with the normal force field, however, if the assault were to be airborne, there is a likely chance that the event horizon will eviscerate any incoming aircraft. And so, precautions are placed to syphon the core if it gets eratic.
