Meme aside, advanced darkest dungeon gameplay is understanding to play proactiv, not reactiv. Don't get hit for 15 and then heal up, but prevent to get hit for 15.
PD has a very high speed and stops bleeds/blights. That means the 10 bleed over 3 turns, your PD just healed 32 HP and your hero never took any death door risk and does not have deaths door recovery debuff. That is one turn of PD.
Vestal however can spend 3 or 4 turns trying to heal that back up, hoping no other hits come in.
You lose heros in a very simple way, they take a surprise hit that brings them down to zero hp, and then the bleed/blight takes them out on your turn. Occ and Ves can't do anything against that. PD can.
