Global Endurance Modding presents the prestigious Bahrain International Circuit!

The Bahrain International Circuit is an FIA Grade 1 motorsport venue opened in 2004 and used for drag racing, GP2 Series (now FIA Formula 2), and the annual Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix. The 2004 Grand Prix was the first held in the Middle East. Beginning in 2006, Australian V8 Supercars raced at the BIC, with the event known as the Desert 400. However, the V8 Supercars did not return for the 2011 V8 Supercar season. 24 Hour endurance races are also hosted at BIC, as well as the Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain in the FIA WEC.

And now, we bring this fantastic circuit to rFactor 2! It has been converted from Assetto Corsa (credits to CTDP) by schm and updated to 2022 standard with IBL shaders and updated textures by Global Endurance Modding and with the excellent track surface meshes by McNolo. The mod includes four layouts: Endurance, Grand Prix, Inner and Outer.

I have performance problems even at daylight. Maybe I haven't got the best CPU but the official tracks like the lemans, nurburgring and other tracks by Studio397 didn't have these fps drops, not even at sunset. So I hope your optimisation work will also apply for the daylight. If the performance problems will disappear, I think this will be the best available Bahrain for rFactor 2. Keep up the good work! :steamhappy:

Thanks for the feedback. We have identified this problem already and are working on some performance improvements with regards to the lighting. I expect we'll be able to release an update in the next few weeks.

very nice and also good performance in daytime
but when sunset starts some drop in VR performance and also night time some big fps drops in a few sections of the track only and even if i switched from high track detail to low track detail, i still got the same fps drops in the same spots on the track.

Good track, but the fences are to much shimmer (especially in VR), this is not the case on Mcnolo's version of Bahrain

Howdy, great track thank you. One issue I have is the road surface is very bright almost white at night. I used reshade to dim it but that starts to cause other issues. Is there any other fix?

I wasn't in a race session. Sorry, that was a rookie mistake.
