I have not updated or even tested this mod in months, it probably doesn't work properly anymore. Now that Neurotrauma is out, and I play with that, I have not felt the need to keep this mod updated. I'll leave it up just in case anyone still uses it :)

This mod patches Advanced Medicine to increase the damage taken by humans. Original damage scaling is taken from the Better Human Damage mod, hence the name BHD, which can be found here.

Do not enable Better Human Damage with this mod, or anything that modifies the Human.xml file (Except for Advanced Medicine of course). That will probably break things. Make sure you load Advanced Medicine BHD Patch below Advanced Medicine in the mod list.

Some examples of differences in damage scaling:

Vanilla
  • Head - 2x Damage Multiplier
  • Torso - 1x
  • Arms - 0.5x
  • Legs - 0.5x

Advanced Medicine
  • Head - 1x
  • Torso - 1x
  • Arms - 0.15x
  • Legs - 0.15x

Advanced Medicine BHD
  • Head - 7x
  • Torso - 2x* (A 'bleeding' multiplier is used here instead of a regular damage multiplier.)
  • Arms - 1.25x
  • Legs - 1.25x

I haven't found any issues that have arisen from using Advanced Medicine with increased damage scaling, more complex injuries such as pneumothoraces and cardiac tamponades will still occur in heavily injured patients without them always dying instead.

If you're curious, in my testing it took 6 headshots to kill in unmodded vanilla Barotrauma without Advanced Medicine enabled.

@Neudachnik The mod is being updated under Beta, it was recently taken over by someone else. When the beta is finshed, the "stable" will update. You can find the Beta on the Workshop, and the AM Discord here: https://discord.gg/2NMwpJnk . Make sure to uninstall the stable before installing the Beta

I haven't been playing Barotrauma much as of late, but when I start playing again I'll check out the beta branch. It hopefully shouldn't take too much tweaking to make the damage values more compatible. Someone might even beat me to the punch.

Yeah, it was removed. Killing people in the middle of surgery. If you want to make another version of this mod for the beta, because the beta changes a lot, that would be amazing

Advanced Medicine has been merged with this mod. If you have the Beta installed, it already has the BHD patch. If you have the release version, this is still useful

@Snoru No, sorry. I only make patches for the mods me and my friends play with, and we don't use Die Hard right now.
