描述
The American Civil War simulates the crisis of the American Nation. Operating on a map, which covers the war theatre from Mississippi to the Atlantic, the players maneuver counters representing the opposing field armies and the Union naval-river flotillas. The game, lasting 16 turns, is resolved by the success or failure of the Union to occupy the heartland of the South. Railroads and rivers, essential for supply and movement form the axis for most strategic operations.

Optional rules allow the players to experiment with several "what-ifs?"; such as Foreign Intervention or a neutral Virginia.

Ha ha ha, I can understand that. Tell you what, when I actually play those games I will update the counter backs to the proper color as I get to them :)

I'll change this one to grey as its only one counter, but unless the color of the back affects gameplay I don't see how the color of the backs matter.

Ok now, but the back is black. Does not matter but it is not grey anymore.

I'm going chronologically by year released and plan to hit all the SPI titles up to the TSR buyout, so yes completing the Island War Quad is in the que (unless published by someone else before I get there of course). I'm just finishing up 1974 titles now, and looking at the list Island War is not that far away so you should see them this month if I keep at my current pace :)
