Apparently, Swiss Knives were added to the vanilla game in b42, so this mod is essentially obsolete. If needed too much, if I come back to playing the game after b42 releases publicly, I might do a small update for this one.
In the meantime, if what I said is wrong and the tool is actually losing durability when used in recipes, if you feel comfortable with tweaking the files, you can try messing around. Feel free to tinker with it. It might have to do with the recipes.
Especially frustrating with can openers, as these don't break and I trear the SArK as a backup for any of these functions, in case I break/have to ditch the main tool.
Good thing these things spawn fairly often.

@Cirrus, for your question, if I understood correctly, the 3D model is a custom one, but the item is based on a corkscrew. It is a stabbing weapon with a few useful features, such as opening cans, dismantling some electronics.
