A book nerf mod

描述
This mod makes it so that the player can only have 1 active skill boost at a time

Current bugs: An already started skill book sometimes must be restarted 2 times
The character will say when they forgot about a skill boost and must restart.


This makes the gameplay loop more enjoyable, because reading books is boring and this way, the player can only do the boring action(reading books) one at a time, meaning that in-between books, there is more interesting content.

hi, great mod but it breaks with the "Nutritionist Magazine" (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2901033394) which introduces a magazine which is implemented as a book that gives the nutritionist trait without granting any skill bonus. This means that in booknerfmod.lua, at line 70, trainedStuff will be nil and the mod will throw an exception.

Wicked idea! Having some more configurable options like how many can be trained, one per category etc would be great!

this mod is indispensable, if you could do as Metaweeb says or give the option to choose 2 books.

This mod is great for removing a lot of the boring book meta gaming stuff, I hope that you can add a configurable option in the future for the number of books or preferably one per category.

Yeah, starting a new book, you will be notified that reading will make you forget about other boosts.

That's a good idea about the simultaneous boosts. I'll certainly try to do something like that

Can you switch between the boosts? Like forgetting the one you have right now and reading a new book to get a different one?

Also, have you thought about maybe making the amount of simultaneously active boosts configurable? Maybe even per skill category?

Another fantastic little mod from you, although I'll maybe hold off until the bugs are ironed out. Keep it up!
