The Sniper would stay on top of buildings and keep a look out to make sure no one follows them behind into the building or to provide as a sort of back up to assassinate enemies in the way.

They also do not have any Bullet Proof armor besides the helmet as the full vest restricts their flexibility and makes it harder for them to lay down in a proper position needed to stay in for hours.
