@cactusninja Yeah, you can check the compile log here [www.interlopers.net] for problems, and then, try to load "Pointfile" in the "Map" menu in Hammer, that will draw a red line to where the detected leak is. When "Pointfile" can't be loaded, your map is sealed properly. 😉

Thanks for your help but when you posted the reply I was trying to fix it and eventually i did, it turns out the skybox was not sealed properly and it took me 2 hours to try and fix it. hat could have saved me alot of time

@cactusninja Water? Try to use the basic water_dx7 material instead. Don't forget to properly change all water textures, not just on the top surfaces. 💧
Also, make sure only one light_env and shadow_control is on the map, delete anything else which can control sunlight and/or shadows. 😉

I have fixed the lighting again but i cant fix the water

Changing the texture made the map pitch black? i will revert it to the old texture or remove the water if nothing works

Your help worked but it seems like the water in my map, the texture became see-through and you could see through the map? ill let you know if changing the texture works

You need only these:
◆ light_env
◆ shadow_control
Set the color and the angle of the sunlight in light_env , then set the shadow color & angle in shadow_control ‒ don't forget to set the same angle in both.
This is the sky list where you can find what sky can you use and what are the best sunlight color values for them ‒ don't try to use skys from games you not own, not gonna work, of course.
I used these two things even on my first map, and the lighting worked just fine. 😉
