The materials are already compiled, so:

1. Subscribe to the addon
2. Follow the path of storing files from the workshop. For example, I have this B:\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\546560\2694940875
3. Unpack the contents of the vpk into a folder B:\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life Alyx\game\pvr_addons\YOUR_ADDON

Important! To open VPK format files, you need to install GCFScape.
