NZR FM Guards Van Pack

The NZR FMs were built in-between 1963-1967. The Guards preferred the FMs, as they were smoother running. Most NZR Guards Vans were classified Fs up until this point. M stands for modular, as they have 3 modules. Some FMs had the end modules taken out, and put on a 4 wheel underframe. these were classified as FHs. FMs were modified with a generator in the early 1990s, and were reclassified as AGs.
