A lot of people miss that rule. If I was better at those types of puzzles I would have included more than one instance where that rule applies but it was turning out to be quite tricky (for me at least) to do and still have a unique solution. Thanks for playing!

Hey Zek - So I was just casually playing through this one (no video this time) and I was 100% sure I had the right solution but it wasn't solving. So after about an hour of going through and checking, I took a look at the solution in the guide and there was a single wrong placement for me. So I sat here for another 20 minutes and finally saw that because of the Orthogonal restriction, there is one spot you need an orange cell which isn't covered by the number clues (Cell 5,5) . A little bit sneaky for sure, but very clever indeed.

Also, yes, I am the sort of person to walk into fire I think there's something curious going on

Phew, last puzzle threw me for a loop there but I finally got it! Loved this one! Also, @Daxik, you can infer that squares can be orange and NOT be orthogonal to clues if you look to the example given to the left of the puzzle

@wzsun thank you so much! I was staring at the puzzle thinking it was completed but missed that one tile!

i would guess so? for some reason i inferred that a tile could not be orange unless it was orthogonal to a numbered tile, just thought i'd let you know

Yes, that tile is the same one from the comment below correct? (the imgur link) That tile must be orange because all of the orange tiles must connect together in one orthogonally connected region

no i mean that on the final puzzle there was an orange tile in the solution that was not orthogonal to any numbered tile
i didn't realize that was okay

All orange tiles must connect to each other in one continuous region!

wish i had known that i was allowed to make tiles orange that didn't connect to any clues
