The only way to get it back in Steam is selecting this beta branch. 😉
There may be some gmod guides that have other ways of doing so, but that's what I found and that's what I assume the main cause is.
Exceptions are Portal-like maps and cartoonish maps, that need TF2.
CS:GO is very heavy to have installed just for 1 or 2 maps. This also goes to L4D2.
This type of thing is nothing new for Garry's Mod, and I'm honestly surprised you haven't seen other maps do this as I found about 3 just from browsing for a minute or two.
But... CSGO? Dude... Seriously?
Download ~25 Gb (or even more) just for 1 map?..
