[WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILERS FOR FFXIV'S EDEN RAID SERIES] (even though if you haven't done them by now you never will)

Gaia joins Rivals of Aether as the first(?) representative of Final Fantasy XIV! This is my first time coding and spriting a character into the game.



Gaia is a fighter who utilizes time-aspected magic to attack using spells that run on a strict timer. Plan out your specials ahead of time to demolish your enemies!

Abilities

Nspecial: Cast "Spell-in-Waiting" on your opponent. Reactivate it to make it explode after some time. Only knocks back when enemy is in hitstun.

Fspecial: Place an hourglass (Gaster Blaster) that shoots a laser after some time. Only knocks back when enemy is in hitstun.

Dspecial: Affect a nearby opponent with "Rewind". This will mark their next three locations, then warps them back to all three in order. (its pretty much like chara save but x3)

Uspecial: Hop into a portal to convert downwards momentum into upwards momentum. Can chain an aerial Fstrong right after the cast.

Looking at this character compared to your newer work is insane. You've improved so much! Maybe one day you can remake another FFXIV character and do them proper justice (Ryne maybe..?)

no you're right. I was gonna rework + buff it but I haven't done it yet because i'm working on other stuff + this character is kinda jank to begin with

Not gonna lie, having a hard time killing with FStrong, the strong hit never seems to actually hit. Really cool character otherwise
