Welcome to Eagle Industries, a startup company that brings you the best brand spanking new military hardware out there. If you're looking for an honest, environmentally responsible product; you've come to the right place!

Class description
Destroyers (DD) are a class of smaller to midsize warships, highly specialized into either torpedoboats, for anti-naval and anti-sub warfare, Anti-Air destroyers and Anti-ship destroyers. Usually carrying a comparably large powerplant, they often have LAMS equiped. These ships focus on speed, and are often used for interdicting enemy fleets. Destroyers evolve into cruisers and battlecruisers.

The ship
The Ravager class of destroyers is one step up in the missile line of ships. Like the Hunter and Executor before it, it's main firepower comes from anti-ship missiles. Combined with a high speed hull and dual use guns that combine Anti Air and Anti Ship usage with CIWS, it can take on a variety of foes up to two times the size/cost. The reason for it's survivability, beyond the speed, defences and offensive weaponry, lie within the reinforced internal structure. The Executor was, being a light and fast interceptor, vulnerable to heavy weapons fire. It's hull could not sustain damage, and its internals were just beyond the thin hull. The Ravager still carries light armour, but by smart design of the internal structure most systems should survive for much longer, which adds to survivability.

There are drawbacks to the design. It does not handle submarines very well, struggles against heavy lasers and extremely mobile and small units. However, this ship is a mainstay of any fleet, and may be fairly confidently used in front line battle.

You seem to be right Frostberg. Tested it against an earlier build and the earlier build won, consistently. Have pushed an update.

I dont recall removing any armor 🤔 If you have both versions still you could check yourself. Might be that I removed a bit of heavy armor to reduce weight..

Is it just me or is it more fragile now?

v50. Update:
- Improved propulsion system. Speed has increased from 32 m/s to 40 m/s. This allows the Ravager to control the engagement much better than before.
- Made alterations to the missile loadout.
- Firepower has decreased from 232 to 199. Overall effectiveness should be greater than before.

Still works absolutely wonderfully, I put it up against an SS Bullshark, which is nearly x2 of its cost. At first it's relatively equal and this continues up to around 80% health. From there though, the Bullshark's munition defense starts lagging behind and the Ravager's missiles start getting through, which starts widening the gap and slowly snowballs in the Ravager's favor. In the end, the Ravager won with 80% health left.

Yeah sorry I just seen your reply, everything was tested in Beta Branch, at least half my craft have severe stability issues with all the changes. Glad you got her working again because that's one beautiful ship you've constructed.

I've pushed an update where I reduced the yaw authority on the rudders. In betatest the rudder force has been increased so there was a heavy yaw induced roll.

I haven't been able to capsize it though, PIDs work normally, even though there is still an unwanted 8 degree roll taking place with the update. I'll be sure to redo the rudder when betatest goes stable.

I also haven't been able to find out why the ship would be doing 13 m/s, it does 30m/s on my build.

If you can tell me under what circumstances it performs the way you tell me, I can have a more thorough look.

Thanks for your reply, I'll be taking a look to see what's the issue. Are you in betatest?
