I did a search on the files and didn't see any files pop up that look like they have to do with marriage. So this should be a mod related issue rather than something that was added in an update. You most likely have a mod that changes how marriage acceptance works and I guess it adds some modifiers for the Giant trait.
Try moving the mod to the end of your mod list. Another mod might be overwriting the giant trait. Both this mod and the Albino mod are made in the same way so they should function the same.
I also have the positive albino mod, and it works completely and perfectly.
You should be able to edit the morph scripting to specifically look for males. As for how to do that I'm not very well versed in CK3 modding especially its scripting since I haven't worked with it much. I'd suggest you look at some of the core game files, the documentation, the wiki or ask for help on the discord.
