GE U30C (LEGACY)

After a few months of holding this off, i present the first installment of the "U-Boat Remastered" series, featuring new models of the U-Boat in various models, liveries and specs, with the GE U30C.

The GE U30C was first built in 1966, and continued production until 1976, with a total of 600 units being built over 10 years. These units proved to be beneficital to companies that couldn't afford the SD40's during that time. Its only problem was the possible faults with its electrical system, but railroads could easily fix it and add it with its 752 DC motor. These units would later pave the way for the future Dash 7 series, which the unit would be superseeded by the C30-7, a similar design. These units would be carried retired around the 1980's to 2000's due to age and mechanical issues, there have been rebuild programs for old U-boats such as the C30-S7R. The U30C today can either be found at some railroad museums or what remains of the rebuilt units.
