You have to use TTT2 in order to use this role. Additionally using ULX for TTT2 is recommended. Report bugs concerning this role here[github.com] and submit new role ideas here[github.com]. A list of all currently available roles can be found here.

You start as the Imitator role, a traitor with no shop or button abilities. You are given a random short list of possible innocent roles/subroles you can choose to imitate. Imitating a role means you will become that role, but remain on the traitor team. When you die, your corpse will show the role you imitated.

This role may cause alot of confusion among innocents and is very powerful. Avoid killing detectives first, as it may then be obvious that you are infact an Imitator, rather than a dumb/confused innocent.



Convars are variables that are introduced to allow server owners to customize the gameplay without changing the code. There are always a handful of convars automatically created by TTT2, that define the spawn parameters of this role and are found in ULX. Additionally there might be some role specific convars, which have to be set in the server config file.

Normal Role Convars (also found in ULX):
# enable or disable this role ttt_imitator_enabled [0/1] (default: 1) # the percentage of players that are spawned as this role ttt_imitator_pct [0.0..1.0] (default: 0.13) # the limit of players that spawn as this role each round, this overwrites the percentage ttt_imitator_max [0..n] (default: 1) # the probability each round of this role being spawned at all ttt_imitator_random [0..100] (default: 30) # the amount of players needed for this role to spawn ttt_imitator_min_players: [0..n] (default: 5)

Rolespecific Convars:
# The maximum number of roles that can be chosen to imitate ttt2_imitator_num_choices [2..25] (default: 3) # Hide the true name of secret innocent subroles ttt2_imitator_hide_secret_roles [0..1] (default: 1)

Is there any chance you could fix the bug where imitating an inno role makes your teammates disappear?

It appears that something in the most recent update for the base mod has broken this role. When opening the F1 menu functionality is broken and formatting is gone, and I can't get a round to start when the role is enabled.

Smitty260 you may be using another addon which displays the role description of *some* of the TTT2 roles, none that I have made (to my knowledge).

The tip down the bottom when the round starts says missing translation or something like that instead of the role description. Unsure if that's an issue with this add-on or somewhere else.

Ran into some issues with this role when trying to use it:

-They were unable to view their traitor teammates after changing their role.
- Traitor teammates were also unable to see/view the Imitator as their teammate after they changed role.

This lead to a lot of unintentional team killing due to this issue.

Yes, but instead of stealing a role from someone in the game, you choose to become a role from a randomised list.
