Southern Pacific AC4400CW No. 173

描述
Here’s my take on an SP AC4400CW, depicting engine No. 173 as she was in her original condition.

Southern Pacific 173 was built by General Electric in 1995, as part of an order of 279 AC4400CW locomotives for SP. The very next year, in 1996, SP was bought out by the Union Pacific Railroad and merged with their company, so the era of original SP AC4400CWs was actually pretty short-lived.

In the case of 173, she became Union Pacific number 6176, and has since been repainted in full UP colours. The engine was still in service as recently as 2018, but I’m not sure of her current state.
