This mod can be played in tandem with the Spire with Friends Mod!

In this mod, everytime you launch a run, you create a team made of 2 pokémons. They will affect your base deck as well as the card, relic and potion pool and many other things. This allows you to create a vast array of playstyle and decks.

Specializing in frontloaded value, the pokemon Bulbasaur uses a vast array of debuffs such as poison, vulnerability, the newly introduced leech seed as well as many others to overwhelm his enemies. Fast way to scale with strength to crush enemies with the help of multi hits. And his defense consists of healing his wounds instead of blocking.
He is the simplest character.

Burn is a special debuff and Charmander's best tool. Capable of negating an enemy’s attacks or to transform it into a powerful damaging tool, burn is at the center of Charmander’s kit. With this he also tends to exhaust his own deck to fuel more powerful abilities. And the modified claw cards he has allow him to stand his own in terms of damage.
He is a rather simple character.

Master of card manipulation, Squirtle uses Scrying, Discarding and Drawing to make the most out of every hand. But to access his most powerful tools he must create statuses and other cards. Finally with his power he relies on temporary strength to scale. Combining all those tools makes him one of the strongest explorers.
He is quite intricate.

Capable of generating Lightning orbs and swapping stances, Pikachu’s main mechanic revolves around the Charge-Meter. The charge-meter is a gauge that allows the players to create powerful effects if their sequencing is optimized.
Pikachu is the hardest out of all the characters.

As a Grass-Type itself, Chikorita has some common mechanic shared with Bulbasaur, but with an added twist. Chikorita's playstyle is focused on hyper aggression and self damage. Using his Recovery Power to heal the health he lost from his enemies blows as well as the self inflicted one by attacking them back. Draw cards to help you get to those cruscial attacks to not lose your health for good.

In the pokemon games, burn does two things. Deal damage and reduce the strength of your foes. With Charmander we used the damage reducing aspect. This time we made burn this character's main source of damage. The new eruption mechanic allows Cyndaquil to turn all burn stacks on an enemy into raw damage unaffected by modifiers as weak and strength. Burn them to a crisp.

Squirtle has been playing around with cards and temporary source of damage boosting effects and Totodile is not that differrent. This time he uses Vigor to boost his next attack with by a flat amount. And discards his own draw pile to activate new effects. Totodile also has frost orbs to help his defenses while he pummels his enemies.

If you like to gamble Meowth is the character for you. Play cards by paying gold or play card to gain gold, Meowth makes you gamble every turn. But gambling gold was not enough. Meowth also gamble with his life: by giving strengthand block to his foes he can access his most powerful tools.
