The man known as Sonny Urquidez initially started the first few years of his career as a comedy wrestler, being a bumbling cop going by the name of Don Crockett. As he was making a name for himself and seeing a ceiling should he continue with the gimmick, he settled into wrestling under his real name, and went back into his American Kickboxing roots. Basing his new style on the shoot-wrestlers of yesteryear and now with the likes of LINKS, UCSS (Sonny has since stated that he would like to work in either of the two promotions someday) and what-not, he earned a new reputation out of his crisp suplexes, hard-hitting kicks, mixed in with a little bit of 80s flash, earning him the nickname, "KSS Vice".
