ZILonaut, I have to say, that ZIL-157 for some reason was also common in civilian usage. Similar to other models, designed as military trucks but used as a civilian instead. Usually after service as army trucks. Studebaker US6, Ural, and GAZ-66 were also military models, but were very common in non-military service.

ZIL-157 6x6 was mostly a military application. Civil application is ZIL-164 4x2.
