-KING's- Tiered Reactors 2x-100x

Contains both Large and Small reactors

Available in both Small and Large grid

Tiered from 2x to 100x vanilla power!

Higher tiers are much more efficient!

Fuel required is now MDU ingots created in the new MDU refinery: Magnesium Diuranate (MDU) fuel rods, from Uranium Ore and Magnesium Ore 2:1 makes 3 MDU ingots!

UPDATE: 2/28/2023 - Added Completely Upgradable Advanced MDU Refinery and nerfed inventory sizes to make more sense

UPDATE 3/9/2023 - Increased volume in advanced MDU refinery to 100k

UPDATE: 1/24/2023 - Removed problematic new blueprint

UPDATE: 1/11/2023 - Reduced custom components to raw ingredients and added them to the basic assembler to aid assembly, also reduced the size so they fit through small grid conveyors! Also fixed the error on MDU production... it was producing 100x what it should have :) so now there is an assembly to convert MDU to Uranium if you like, but you only yield 1%, which is what it should have made in the first place :) Next update will reduce the container sizes in all reactors!

UPDATE: 03/25/2022 - Added support for new targeting mechanics and fixed small grid conveyors, apparently rules have changed... all good now. Please let me know if you notice something else not working correctly, thanks!

MAJOR UPDATE: 03/06/2022 - Converted MDU to work as ingots instead of assembled components, this works better with the game mechanics, it caused a negative number in the control panel as a component. Added custom MDU Refinery, will take Uranium and Magnesium as input and produce MDU ingots. This update will remove all componentized MDU from the game, server owner will need to give their players a Uranium boost to help the conversion process and help them get over the loss of their precious old component fuel!

If you have abundant amounts of raw resources exposed to the refinery, it may fill up on one ingredient and not have enough space left in the autofill zone to add the 2nd resource needed for MDU, if this happens just manually move some of the other resource into the refinery and production will continue, there are ways to automate this but I leave that up to you engineers!

UPDATE: 10/16/2021 - Rebalanced reactors to be more efficient with higher tiers, added Magnesium-Diuranate (MDU) compound as fuel to stretch out your Uranium even further! (Thanks to Maddious for the suggestion of Magnesium over Platinum, my first choice, because his idea is an actual thing used to make uranium fuel processing more efficient, which was the goal here anyway)

Server Owners: This mod is targeting the individual, the future Server Modpack will contain custom tiers based on feedback from testing these

No part of this mod may be used in any other mod without my consent.

I know its been a while since you prob check this mod but I'm curious if this is just a me issue but the "Use Conveyor System" keeps turning off and I can't figure out why

are there any plans to make warfare variants? like tiered versions of the warfare stuff that uses the MDU?

Thank you. That is the way I have set it up now. I just dump one stack of Mg and one of Ur in the refinery and keep it seperate from the rest of the systems.

@jimbodiah the recommendation is to have your MDU refinery on a separate conveyor system so your resources don't get siphoned off to the normal refineries... Also, that is the game mechanic and I cannot control it from a script-less mod, you have to engineer something with sorters and timer blocks to make sure there is only a small amount available of each resource at a time and it works fine, or just manually move in the magnesium... your call

Ah, you need to shut down the normal refineries or the MDU one will not get resources in time. Also, the mdu refinery fills up with uranium ore with no more room for Mg for some reason.

How do you make the rods? There is no items for it to be found in production

That's very kind of you to say!! TYSM :) I plan on putting most of the tiered stuff into a modpack, coming soon! I'm getting the old mods up to date with the latest DLC changes and such first...

These are great- me and my group love making giant, heavy ships and your tiered stuff basically makes the whole premise -Work-. I didn't realize you'd released reactors too and they'll be immediately going in the load order. (the other tiered reactors we have are beginning to not cut it anymore for our behemoth capital ship)

You're an underrated creator dude, always glad to discover you have another 'tiers' mod.

It is in experimental state currently, we are using these new tiered mods for testing and aiding in developing a new modpack thanks for your help and feedback.
