changing it would help to reduce 'solace=lag', but it would still be checking the tiles for every square of movement, it'll just have 1 square to check instead of 30
Also what/whereere would that .ini line be, if you don't mind?
If you're running more than one Psi-OP we recently discovered a bug that actually only one of the Psi-OPs will HAVE Solace, as it doesn't activate for any others in the squad as they ""already have"" Solace!!! Highlander team are investigating
Pretty sure Solace's range is already a base-game config
And can you add an option to make solace a single square (non-area of effect) ability just in case?
In terms of performance, the combined total size of the mods you run is the bigger factor. This mod for example is just code/config, and it's about a quarter of a megabyte in size. Some of the larger mods, though, can be over a gigabyte in size due to graphics assets, animations, sounds, etc.
In terms of your framerate, reducing the total GB your game has to load by reducing your mod list can help, but you can also do things like making sure the game/mods are loading from an SSD rather than an HDD, and also upgrading your RAM.
