G41 [Hunting Rifle]

Hello everyone!

Today I bring this weapon that, let's say, is little explored in World War II games. It is the German Gewehr 41 (G41) rifle that was produced by the Walther or Mauser. Both manufacturers used very similar prototypes, for example, the reload method that consisted of using stripper clip with a 7.92 × 57 mm Mauser cartridge to feed the fixed magazine with a capacity for 10 cartridges. Reloading the G41 was considered relatively slow compared to rifles that had magazines that could be reloaded with a single unit, such as the M1 Garand, but for the time it was typical, being exactly the same reloading procedure as the Lee-Enfield of 10 cartridges. The Walther version was more successful compared to Mauser's unreliable, clumsy and heavy version which used a rotating-bolt system similar to the one used in the Kar98k. However, both versions suffered from gas system incrustation and corrosion problems, as the muzzle assembly made was difficult to keep clean. Varying sources estimate that between 40.000 and 145.000 units of the Walther version were produced. To improve the accuracy of soldiers on the front lines, and not have the need to use trained snipers, the G41s in some operations were equipped with the ZF-41 scopes. In 1943 the Walther version was redesigned, giving rise to the Gewehr 43, where it was widely used to replace the G41. This mod replaces the Hunting Rifle slot in the game (no custom sounds included).

Hoje trago esta arma que digamos, é pouco explorada nos jogos com tema da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Trata-se do rifle alemão Gewehr 41 (G41) que era produzido pelas fabricas Walther ou Mauser. Ambos os fabricantes utilizavam protótipos muito semelhantes, como por exemplo, o método de recarga que consistia na utilização de pente stripper com cartucho 7,92 × 57 mm Mauser para alimentar a revista fixa com capacidade para 10 cartuchos. A recarga do G41 era considerada relativamente lenta em comparação com os rifles que tinham carregadores que podiam ser recarregados com uma única unidade, como o M1 Garand, mas para a época era algo típico, sendo exatamente o mesmo procedimento de recarga do Lee-Enfield de 10 cartuchos. A versão Walther foi mais bem-sucedida se comparada com a versão pouco confiável, desajeitada e pesada da Mauser que utilizava um sistema de parafuso giratório semelhante ao utilizado no Kar98k. Entretanto, as duas versões sofreram com problemas de incrustação do sistema de gás e corrosão, uma vez que a montagem do cano dificultava a limpeza. Fontes variadas estimam que foram produzidas entre 40.000 e 145.000 unidades da versão Walther. Para melhorar a precisão dos soldados na linha de frente, e não ter a necessidades de utilizar atiradores treinados, os G41 em algumas operações eram equipados com a lunetas ZF-41. Em 1943 a versão Walther foi redesenhada, dando origem ao Gewehr 43, aonde foi amplamente utilizado para substituir o G41. Este mod substitui o slot do Rifle de Caça no jogo (não possui sons personalizados incluído).
